Rail Car Maintenance Representative for the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during major events, emergencies and inclement weather conditions. Retired from the United States Air Force (USAF) after 20 years honorable service, in the field of Aircraft Maintenance, prior to joining MARTA. Began MARTA career as a Rail Car Maintainer and transitioned through various positions including: Supervisor & Superintendent of Service & Inspections, Safety Representative, Superintendent of Back Shops (including: Parts Rebuilds for Electronic Lab, Electrical Shops, Truck Shops, Motor Shop, Air Brake Shop, along with Door Module/Controller, Air Compressor and Mechanical/Electrical Coupler shops), Program Manager of Cars under the Office of Rail Car Reliability Engineering/RCM with operating and capital project management, then transitioned to Manager of Communication Systems Equipment Maintenance & Computer Maintenance. Current responsibilities include direct oversight, with Communication Systems Equipment Maintenance operation initiatives, budget, resources, disciplinary actions & upholding good sate of equipment repair, while ensuring optimum personnel availability & equipment safety. Applicable Life & Safety Equipment work scope covers 100+ facilities, 38 Rail Stations, Authority-wide 800 MHZ Radio System with 3 Communication Towers Sites & Infrastructure Equipment. Fire System Equipment, Intrusion/Access Control Equipment, 2,646 CCTV Facility Cameras, 12,643 Vehicle Security Cameras, Street Car Facility, 312 Rail Cars (Heavy Rail Vehicles), 633 Buses and 242 Mobility Vans. Routinely conducted safety meetings, inspections, incident reports & investigations. Oversight for Computer Maintenance: First responder for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Field Unit (SFU) issues on the North-South and East-West rail line systems interface, relative to the Integrated Operations Center (IOC), Rail Control Train Display Board, and Back Up Rail Control Center (BUCC). Ensures triage is performed on outages and partners with appropriate Maintenance Group(s)(Automatic Train Control [ATC], Electrical Power & Equipment [EP & E]) or Technology Team if/as needed for resolution. Ensures consistent maintenance service delivery with Printers (not leased), non-warranty Desk Top Computers, Laptop Computers & Accessories, customer equipment moves, installation and repairs.
