I am an actuary who truly prefers people over numbers. I have always been fascinated by the complexity of mathematics, finance, and human behaviour. I believe in the power of numbers and in each individual’s rich potential to achieve ambitious and collective outcomes. My past experiences have taught me the importance of putting finance at the service of people – never the other way around. If I were asked today to select just one particular numeral, I would, without a doubt, choose the number ONE. Why ONE? Because, foremost, exceeding expectations is a primary obsession of mine – and not with the objective of "reaching the top on my own", but to "arrive elsewhere, together". The greatest successes are those that come as the result of joint efforts and the many obstacles you overcome as a team. ONE in reference to unity. Growing up in a large family and tight-knit community in Gaspé taught me how strong solidarity can be. A sense of belonging is at the heart of my deeply held principles, in both my personal and professional life. ONE also represents uniqueness. Each and every one in a team is precious – a special and fascinating blend of various journeys, pooled knowledge, and combined individual experiences. When we add people together, we multiply the talents. ONE stands for the individual, and their gifts of personality, perception, introspection, and reflection. I am a great lover of fine arts and passionate about artists’ interpretations and their ultimate renditions. Artists teach us much about ourselves, including the significance of our strengths, our individuality, and understanding of our weaknesses. ONE pertains as well to the relationship, for the respect we accord each one of our employees and clients to ensure we provide a positive impact in their lives. I am grateful and acutely aware of the vital role we hold for each person who entrusts us with the mandate of supporting them in managing their family assets and businesses. And finally, ONE for this universal society we live in, for the utmost yet stimulating importance of our contribution to the wellbeing of others. Having been involved in different causes has taught me how giving is much more important than receiving.
