I retired from Deloitte the end of October 2021 with 35 years of experience primarily serving the investment management industry. During that time I specialized in Investment Management, and spent several years as the industry leader for the Firm's Regulated fund tax practice in the U.S. I have extensive experience with "traditional" regulated funds, along with ETF’s, Business Development Companies ("BDCs"), and and alternative products such as registered fund of hedge/private equity funds. As it relates to BDCs, I was the firms primary tax specialist in BDCs at the time of my retirement. I also have significant experience serving the private fund industry, including hedge funds and private equity. I authored a number of articles on tax issues of interest to the investment management industry.
