About Eric Calpas

Eric CALPAS, has a long experience in international development. After a short experience in India he mainly worked in Haiti in many positions such, as Director of organization, Project manager as well as in technical position such M&E Manager, technical Advisor on organizational development and project development. He has developed expertise in three areas: Analytics including strategy development, Strategic planning, Evaluation and Assessment; Project Management including project design; implementation; and Capacity Building in area such as: Conflict Management, Organizational Governance, Business Management for Micro entrepreneurs; Community Engagement. He has a strong experience in the area of community development in both urban and rural areas. He worked in the following sector: DDR, Community Security, local development, Child and Women protection, Inclusive Risk and Disaster Management, Education. His employer have been: Christian Aid (Field office Director), LWF (M&E), World Bank (consultant), UN Mission for Haiti (Reintegration officer), LTL Strategies (US based firm); Plan and Care (M&E manager) he founded a NGO and a Firm. Most recently was a consultant on Community Violence Reduction for UNFPA coordinating a Peace Building fund project on two violent neighborhoods and is currently Humanitarian Access Specialist for UNICEF in Port au Prince Haiti.
