About Eric Chappell

A Senior Project Manager with over 18 years construction industry experience, specialising in the delivery of education projects. With a background in structural engineering, I moved into Project Management and Consultancy over 9 years ago. In that time, I have worked almost exclusively with the Department for Education (DfE) in a number of roles on both the Free Schools Programme and Priority Schools Building Programme, firstly as a Technical Advisor / Project Manager and now as a Client Project Manager. Along with a solid technical understanding, I have strong communication and skills and proven project delivery skills. I have extensive experience in dealing with challenging stakeholders and keeping project relationships on track, ensuring the project teams work efficiently and effectively together. I have delivered a wide range of projects whilst meeting challenging cost, quality and programme constraints and I possess the ability to adapt to the daily challenges encountered within the construction industry. My flexible and professional approach has allowed me to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, clients and colleagues, both within the office and within the project teams. Having a technical background in engineering, and having undertaken a number of different roles within the Project Management field, I have a wide range of experience to call upon and this is reflected in continual and consistent successful project outcomes.
