About Eric Czarny

I’m an engineering manager with over 15 years experience building scalable backend systems and high quality mobile product infrastructure. I have a passion for supporting high performing engineering teams and helping people navigate their careers. While at Gilt.com I gained extensive knowledge scaling a microservice architecture to support our growing mobile apps. This experience exposed me to distributed infrastructure and cloud computing platforms like AWS. I invested a lot of time and attention to our developer experience, building simple yet effective tools to deploy our backend services with ease. During my time at Meta I’ve built product infrastructure in Facebook for iOS that has needed to meet the needs of hundreds of iOS developers and millions of users. I’ve contributed to ComponentKit, the open source UI framework used to build much of Facebook for iOS. I also helped build important instrumentation and data pipelines that have helped Meta provide iOS users with a performant and responsive user experience. Since 2019 I’ve supported high performing engineering teams working on some of the most technically challenging problems across Meta’s mobile apps. This role has allowed me to have much broader impact while helping those I support be successful in their roles and careers.
