My banking career began in May 1994 as a Part-Time Teller for Bank of America (based in San Francisco). While at Bank of America, I earned my Series 6 / 63 Broker Licenses, along with Group 1 (Texas Insurance Agent). Worked as AVP / Financial Relationship Manager with Bank of America until it merged with Nations Bank in 1998. After Bank of America’s Merger with Nations Bank, I finished college, earning my BA Business, Cum Laude. I went to work for 1st Global Partners (broker/dealer) in February I Consulted CPAs about offering their own RIA / Financial Services for its CPA clients. While at 1st Global, I learned an overall aspect of Financial Planning, up to including Complex Estate Planning. In September 2001, I took on my first leadership role as AVP / Branch Manager for Guaranty Bank. Guaranty was a Community Bank that served the state of Texas only. As AVP / Branch Manger of Guaranty Bank, I was responsible for 100% Operations (full P & Ls) and 100% Sales for a staff of 10. June 2005, I took advantage of an opportunity to be a Financial Consultant for Wachovia Bank. This role was in the tradition of a personal banker, with the qualifications of a licensed broker. In this role, I was responsible for all sales including new consumer & business accounts, new consumer & business loans (including commercial real estate), with goals in investment sales. I exceeded the quarterly goal of $1.5M in new business. I stayed through the acquisition of Wachovia Bank by Wells Fargo Bank. My short career as a mortgage processor began in 2012 with Nationstar Mortgage. In 2014, I took on my second leadership role as AVP / Market Manager for Capital One Bank. The opportunity to work with bank and credit unions as clients began in July 2019 as a Client Executive / Regional Director with SHAZAM. At SHAZAM, I enhance relationships with Community Banks and Credit Unions with a focus on Client Engagement. Client Engagement consists of a scheduled call cadence (monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly) that is suitable to maintain consistent touch points with all Clients. An annual Client Onsite Visit is included in the call cadence to enhance client engagement with bank staff that may not be a part of scheduled call cadence. I strengthen Community Banks and Credit Unions’ Debit and Credit Card payment processing with a Consultative approach by keeping each client abreast of market situations and the potential impact it can have to each specific financial institution, its cardholders, and its members.
