About Eric D. Kirsch

I am the Group Practice Leader of Rimon's Intellectual Property Group. I studied Electrical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. After graduation, I designed electronics for GE's Space Division. I then attended law school at the University of Pittsburgh, where I became a Notes & Comments Editor of the Law Review. After graduating from law school, I became an Assistant District Attorney for the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where I tried many serious felony cases as a member of the Habitual Offender Unit. I then became an associate at Fish & Neave and later a partner at Cooper & Dunham, where I litigated many patent cases and won in the Federal Circuit. In 2010, I joined Nikon Corporation as Chief IP Counsel. I enjoyed working for Nikon and learned a lot about how Japanese companies operate. I gained an extensive amount of experience in assertion defense, M&A, licensing and IP strategy. In August of 2021, I joined Davidson Berquist, which specializes in all types of Intellectual Property matters, including patent litigation, IPRs, patent prosecution and licensing. In October of 2023, Davidson Berquist merged with Rimon, P.C. My partners and I are all highly skilled, yet we offer very reasonable hour rates compared to our peers.
