With over 20 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) leadership across energy, oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceutical and automotive sectors, I specialize in building safety cultures that protect people, projects, and performance. My work spans Europe and Africa, managing complex, multi-site programs for organisations like Vattenfall, Jacobs, Ørsted and Unilever. My commitment to safety is both professional and personal. After a serious mountain bike crash, I spent one years in rehabilitation — an experience that reshaped my perspective on risk, resilience, and recovery. It deepened my passion for creating environments where people can move, work, and live safely. As a long-time volunteer and Cluster Coordinator for Alpe d’HuZes, I help lead communication efforts for one of the Netherlands’ most impactful cycle events, raising millions for cancer research. I’ve also contributed to inclusive playgrounds, educational boards, and global youth programs—always driven by the belief that movement can be meaningful and safety is a shared responsibility.
