About Eric Davies

With 30 years of experience in advancing community and public health, advocacy for multi-modal transportation and neighborhood revitalization, I have maintained a keen interest in promoting healthy living and addressing the social drivers of health. I have worked with the nation’s community health center program (also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers) for 30 years. I have assisted health centers in Ohio and other states to leverage funds, expand services and programs, improve operations and governance, and increase access to healthcare for underserved urban and rural populations. I formed Transformative Consulting, LLC to enhance the level of services and expertise provided to the health centers and other similar clients. I also retain a passion for and commitment to working as an advocate and strategist to promote and support walkable communities, better public transit, green and sustainable businesses and the creation and preservation of green spaces in urban and rural areas. Throughout the past two decades I have: Assisted inner city and rural community health centers to maintain existing federal and state funding, and to help them add sites and patients and expand programs and services through more than $150 million in new and continuing federal dollars, which enabled more than individuals to gain access to health care services; headed the development, planning and implementation for 10 statewide and regional health care conferences as well as numerous workshops, trainings and other events; served on a work group that created a Complete Streets Policy for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, at the time the largest such entity nationally to adopt a policy; and, led the formation of Transit Columbus, an organization that champions the growth of public transportation in central Ohio. During my tenure as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Transit Columbus, we championed a robust public transportation system to advocate for an accessible, efficient and equitable multi-modal transportation to improve access to jobs, health, environment, and economic vitality of the Columbus region. Leveraging skills in written and verbal communications, community engagement, strategic and business planning and event coordination, my contributions helped shape initiatives to address the health of communities across Ohio and throughout the U.S, reflecting my dedication to creating impactful, systemic change.
