About Eric Demeester

I joined Lubaway, Masten focusing on financial analysis, revenue cycle audits, and reimbursement. Since then, my experience in reimbursement has been extensive including preparation of third-party required filings, including but not limited to, cost reports, the Medicare occupational mix survey, and various quarterly reports. I have also assisted clients in preparing/analyzing/implementation of monthly contractual model, balance sheet testing of third-party receivables, third-party audits and net revenue budgets. I have served as the manager of reimbursement for rural hospitals where I successfully completed/streamlined the monthly closing process. I have also served as the project manager for completion of Medicare, Medicaid and Blue Cross cost reports for hospitals which include acute care services, long term care services, and rural health clinics. In addition, I was successful in obtaining significant savings related to appeals of Blue Cross price attestation adjustments and the underpayment of claims by a commercial insurance plan. I have also served as the director of reimbursement at a large urban hospital. I made significant improvements to the month end close process and the balance sheet review. I successfully appealed third party settlements. I also provided financial analysis support and contract review for third party contract negotiations.
