About Eric Devericks

Regarded as a strategic leader and creative force by clients and colleagues alike. Currently Chief Experience Officer at EWI. Previously founded a few companies, consulted for many others, and in my early career created political cartoons for the Seattle Times. In today’s crowded brandscape, companies need to find a way to stand out. In my years working for businesses at nearly all stages of growth, I’ve learned that experience can build brand equity and drive conversion in a way that no other form of marketing can touch. However, in a post-COVID world, curating meaningful experiences requires a thoughtful, careful approach. Where others might see obstacles, I look for opportunities for innovation — and I think much of our best thinking (What constitutes a “meaningful experience” in 2020? And how can we deliver in a way that’s safe and effective?) is yet to come. I’ve worn a lot of hats. I’ve planned large-scale strategic projects, managed those projects, and overseen large experiential marketing buildouts. I’ve delivered presentations that secured millions of dollars of business — and I’ve delivered presentations that DIDN’T win any business. I’ve managed and coached teams of talented creatives, implemented emerging technologies at scale, and tracked project success via real-world metrics that clients care about. But what I’m most proud of are the lasting relationships I’ve developed with several clients over the years (such as GM, Audi, Kia, Subaru, Amazon, AT & T, Mattel, Cobra Puma Golf, and Microsoft.)
