About Eric Devine
I have been working towards my Mechanical Engineering Degree since 2017 and graduated with my BSME in 2023, while still working part time in attractions. Working in attractions has given me knowledge about how attractions function on both the operator side and the back of house side thanks to the many supportive leaders and maintenance cast that I have worked with at my attraction, taking myself backstage seeing how the attraction works and the pieces that build a ride vehicle including how they rebuild sections that are no longer developed by the manufacturers. To graduate I built with a team of six other mechanical engineers a prototype underwater glider. I was responsible for the buoyancy engine development and construction, including the manufacturing of custom 3D printed parts and stainless steel parts requiring to be machined with drawings developed from a 3D design. I was also designated with the task of performing in depth FEA on the design.
