About Eric Dohner
I recently defended my Ph.D. in condensed matter physics at University at Albany. My work focuses on non-equilibrium many-body physics, particularly the interplay between disorder and particle-particle interaction in systems out of equilibrium. My research is both "theoretical"(in the colloquial, dry-erase board sense) and computational, necessitating strong skills in numerical analysis, parallelization with OpenMPI, and data visualization and analysis. In collaboration with researchers from the University at Buffalo, Middle Tennessee State University, and Louisiana State University, I've developed an algorithm that combines the standard non-equilibrium dynamical mean-field theory (NE-DMFT) with the Coherent Potential Approximation to investigate the properties of disordered interacting systems under an interaction quench. These results are published in Phys. Rev. B 106, 195156, and we continue to build on them.
