About Eric Ducoin

I started as a sustainable sourcing manager; I had the opportunity to make the change happen in the cotton fields by implementing the organically grown method, adding to the supply chain we worked with, and supporting them to change their habits and become more sustainable by implementing different standards. In 2011, I joined Textile Exchange for almost eight years as an advisory board member to share my experience and participate in different tasks to create more positive impacts. Including aligning SDGs with the strategy, focusing on CO2 reduction, and promoting sustainable initiatives and standards to a maximum of stakeholders. I served a few companies working on sustainable initiatives. It was great as a consultant to dive into different companies' sizes and have a chance to work with wonderful people, implementing their strategies. It includes: putting in place, accelerating, or solving some issues. Having a solid experience with different standards for sustainable production, I was able to report the main challenges on both sides, farmers and final consumers! Accelerating adoption of the change. In 2016, I initiated a digital project called RTTX (Rethinktex) to promote sustainable initiatives to final users. We created a start-up in 2020, and it is fascinating to bring it to life with a beautiful team of change-makers! Technology is a great tool; our QR Code hides many services for brands and final users. Positive Impacts/Circularity/LCA is the solution's heart and includes a way to sort items at the recycling stage. Working with the French government to build the textile score of tomorrow (Affichage environmental and the PEF), we are very proud to be at the heart of the change. We are also working on the cost-effectiveness to make RTTX accessible for all-size brands. RTTX grants all sustainable initiatives in the final score, rewarding all initiatives' impact efforts.
