Background
About Eric Duku
Eric Duku is an early-career interdisciplinary researcher passionate about understanding and contributing to addressing complex challenges from human-environment interactions. He has excellent skills in geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, geospatial analysis, geostatistics, spatial statistics, qualitative analysis using NVivo, and surveys. He has extensively used them in social and natural science research and development initiatives. He worked on socio-ecological landscapes by exploring the dynamics of a coastal wetland and its implications for human well-being in Ghana for his MPhil (Integrated Coastal Zone Management) thesis funded by the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Eric holds a BSc in Geography and Regional Planning and MPhil in Integrated Coastal Zone Management. He strives to enhance ecosystem understanding and promote effective natural resource governance and management for improved livelihood and well-being; and climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience building.
