I have spent the majority of my life living in the Ruidoso area. Growing up in a small community is great, and I truly love living in Ruidoso. In 1996, I was offered a job in Silver City, NM, which at the time I wasn't really excited about. We all know the phrase,"Everything happens for a reason." I believe the reason for me moving to Silver City was to meet my financial advisor. I was a recently married young man taking a new job away from home. My advisor sat me down and discussed emergency funds, retirement, and any educational needs I might need for my future family. I agreed to work with him, and we have developed a life long friendship. I only spent about 9 months in Silver City and then was able to move back to Ruidoso, where my family and I have been ever since. Fast Forward 22 years.The portfolio and financial plan we had developed allowed my family to handle college educations, business opportunities, and retirement security.
