Professional Summary As President and CEO of ENIG, an engineering R&D firm based in Bethesda, Maryland, I have led innovation and technology commercialization for over 30 years, working with both the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial partners. I specialize in transitioning groundbreaking technologies from early-stage concepts to real-world applications. I have successfully managed a broad range of activities, including securing SBIR and STTR Phase 3 funding, intellectual property strategies, and contract negotiations. I’ve played a pivotal role in developing advanced technologies in magnetohydrodynamics, electromagnetics, and energetics for use in critical environments, such as RF-denied regions like undersea and underground. Key Accomplishments Led numerous SBIR and STTR campaigns, securing Phase 3 funding from both the DoD and major commercial partners. Elevated early-stage concepts (TRL0/TRL1) through proof-of-principle and prototype demonstrations for DoD and commercial customers. Built and led high-performing teams of scientists for over 25 years, advancing innovative technologies from concept to validated enabling technologies. Spearheaded the development of “game-changing” high-risk, high-reward technologies, particularly in the fields of sensitive energetics and electromagnetic communication in RF-denied environments. Collaboration & Innovation Successfully partnered with major research institutions, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, DARPA, NASA, DOE, and national laboratories (e.g, LANL, SNL, LLNL). Initiated collaborations with U.S, UK, and Japanese universities on research in shock physics and electromagnetic propagation. Intellectual Property I hold several patents and patent applications, including: Co-inventor of the Magnetohydrodynamic Explosive Munition (MAHEM), a long-standing DARPA program. Co-inventor on patented technologies such as FLUXGEN, SpacePG, and MAGGEN. Co-inventor on recent patent applications for an innovative fusion reactor concept and a geophysical exploration technology involving charged particle beam antennas.
