RF / Analog Electrical Engineer with considerable experience designing receiver, synthesizer, and transmitter circuits from 100 MHz to just under 2 GHz for mobile and base station two-way radio equipment. On most recent assignment, served dual-role as architect and system analyst for high-performance, dual-mode receiver along with responsibility for the architecture and complete development of a very high-stability PLL-based reference circuit. Considerable experience with designing and developing circuits with fractional-N and integer-N synthesizers as well as superheterodyne and zero-IF receivers. Very much enjoy the pre-development, research, and component selection portions of the program cycle as well as troubleshooting and problem solving. Analog circuit experience includes designing and working with op amps, comparators, Schmitt triggers, regulators, battery charger, switching circuitry, and authoring of an extensive research paper on the operation and compensation of switching regulators.
