About Eric Evenson

I build robust, scalable data pipelines that turn messy real world data into real insights. I care about maintainable code, efficient modelling, and building pipelines others can rely on. I’ve independently owned the full life cycle of production-grade pipelines from ingestion through to transformation and delivery, evolving them to suit changing stakeholder needs. Even if it takes ten minutes to do manually, I’ll happily spend weeks automating it just so nobody needs to. My work sits at the intersection of data engineering, platform architecture, and systems design. Lately, I’ve focused on streamlining the flow of BOM and inventory data to support smarter procurement and production forecasting. I build tools that help teams make better decisions with less effort, tackling messy, inconsistent data sources and evolving processes. I’m comfortable with version control, environment management, configuration, and have deployed internal ETL Pipelines as well as public facing Python webapps. My technical strengths are in Python and SQL, and I regularly use tools like Git, Poetry, virtual environments, and config files. I’ve automated Python workflows with Windows Task Scheduler and hold Azure certifications at the Fundamentals and AI/ML Associate levels. I’m especially drawn to roles that blur the line between data engineering and platform thinking, which value well-documented pipelines, clean abstractions, and system-wide maintainability. Long term, I’d love to grow into a role where I can help shape infrastructure and strategy while still getting my hands dirty with code.
