Current medical student at McMaster University with a strong foundation in biomedical research, developed throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies at Queen’s University. With a deep passion for translational medicine, I am dedicated to bridging the gap between bench research and clinical care. My research experience to date has centrally focused on discerning the mechanistic basis behind disorders of mineral metabolism and the associated pathogenesis of bone, renal, and cardiovascular sequelae. In particular my graduate thesis principally investigated the role of fetuin-A containing calciprotein particles (CPPs) in chronic kidney disease mineral bone disorder and microgravity induced bone loss.
