About Eric Ferri

Senior risk executive with nearly two decades of experience spanning federal bank supervision, global consulting, and executive leadership in financial services. I am currently the Chief Operational Risk and Resilience Officer at Ally Financial, where I oversee a team of ~80 professionals responsible for enterprise-level risk functions, including RCSA, issue management, operational loss, third party risk, crisis management, business continuity, scenario analysis, and resolution planning, among others. I began my career with the OCC during the global financial crisis, where I led critical examinations of credit, capital, and liquidity risk at banks across the Southeast. Since then, I've advised some of the world's largest financial institutions in navigating regulatory change, enhancing risk frameworks, and building sustainable governance models. At Ally, I've built and scaled enterprise-wide functions, and I regularly engage with our Executive Council and Board to shape risk strategy and ensure business resilience. My work blends deep regulatory insights with a practical, tech-enabled approach to risk. I am passionate about leading transformational programs, engaging at the EC and Board level, and solving complex problems that cut across the enterprise. I bring a blend of frontline supervision, consulting agility, and enterprise leadership that translates across firm operations and lines of defense.
