About Eric Frey
Design research based in Japan since 2014. Using my background in cognitive science, linguistics, and literature, I focus on the meanings and motivations behind decision making, based on mostly qualitative research. That means interviews with users and thought leaders, connecting real places and people’s imaginations, collecting signals and processing into useful frameworks. The output should not only address help the client with specific questions, but also give a coherent space for those results to live in, and a better awareness for how that space might change. I work directly with Japanese project teams from large MNCs to smaller startups, with members from executive level to junior staff.
