About Eric G. Manzo

Experience as a Consultant and Financial Manager working with customers to solve business problems, understand financials results, develop and implement process improvement, and manage change in organizations. I am very results-oriented and have enjoyed positions of increased responsibility throughout my career. My consulting and financial roles have included creating and managing departmental budgets, commodity analysis, consolidation, cost analysis and compilation, business plan development, forecasting, monthly report-outs of financial results, variance analysis, and financial presentations. I understand that financial processes are complicated and I use my listening skills to understand what my customer needs are so that I can use my financial acumen to advise how financial results can be used to understand and operate their business efficiently and effectively. My roles have also included working in the Project Management space where I have managed large projects staffed with cross-functional teams. I have worked on many projects where process improvements were made and involved updating processes and/or software that was outdated. I developed training materials, provided training, and worked to ensure the organization adopted the changes that were developed. An example of this occurred when the Cost Estimating Organization needed to replace a legacy software product because it was no longer supported. I met internally with IT business staff and we determined what software products existed that could be a potential replacement for the legacy product. I planned a global workshop to review options and to get buy in from my global customers. The list of candidates was reduced down to the best three from which Requests for Quotes were obtained. The best two candidates participated in a proof of concept from which a selection was made and the new software was successfully adopted. Throughout this process I created materials and presented to an Executive Management Governance Board. I was also the central point of contact for all vendors involved. This project allowed me to work with a cross-functional team which included finance, cost estimating, Information Technology and Purchasing. I am driven by a desire to succeed in solving complex issues by using my business acumen and bringing cross-functional groups together to do this. In all of my roles I have enjoyed management, team building, training, and development along with working closely with my customers. I am available to discuss new opportunities.
