About Eric Gomes

I was born in Toronto and grew up in Mississauga, I’m a full-time student at Humber Collage in the recreation and leisure service program. My passion for recreation is to help continue getting Members of the community Involved and finding the best fit of reaeration for them. One of my other passions is Pickleball. I love to take risk try new things and travel. I also very passionate about traveling and trying different forms of recreation in other countries. Currently, I am working in the recreation field for a municipality in many different roles in the past and currently I’m a Camp coordinator as well as a part time training assistant helping get staff ready for our seasonal programs by giving them a bigger understanding of our policies and procedures. Being able to provide support and be a resource for staff and members of the community is important to me as everyone has a different version of recreation and what it means to them and being able to help them find their best fit.I love my job being able to help children, older adults, youth and come together and find what activities they want to keep activate and better help them find what they love in recreation and all that is has to offer.
