About Eric Grayson

I am the CEO of InterCare Development, Ltd. Co, and the Managing Consultant at I.C. Pharmacy Services. In these positions I am focused on growing both of these entities into thriving businesses. I am also a part-time (Visiting) Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Texas A&M University College of Pharmacy. I currently practice at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen Texas where I specialize in adult internal medicine as a member of the inpatient clinical pharmacy team and serve as a faculty preceptor for pharmacist interns doing their intermediate and advanced pharmacy practice rotations. I earned my Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Over the course of my career, I’ve held management, hospital pharmacy, and clinical practice positions at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Prime Healthcare, I.C. Pharmacy Services, Cardinal Health, Solara Healthcare, and Cornerstone Healthcare Group. My career experiences include pharmacy education, pharmacy administration and management, pharmacy informatics, pharmacy consulting, hospital pharmacy, home health/hospice, ambulatory infusion, and pharmacy oncology. Teaching and practice interests include acute care pharmacy practice, medical and pharmacy ethics, toxicology, endocrine disorders, and oncology supportive care. My research interests are focused on the development of rules-based decision support tools and the application of artificial intelligence in pharmacy practice, and measuring the impact that the U.S./Mexico border has on health care in South Texas.
