About Eric Gurash

I am a Catholic convert and former radio broadcaster whose love for Christ, the Word of God, the Catholic Church and storytelling inspires and energizes all aspects of my family life and parish ministry. For the past two years, I have been coordinating Lay Formation and Evangelization for the Archdiocese of Regina as well as co-hosting and producing a weekly Catholic Podcast for the Archdiocese called "Thinking Faith!" My work with the Archdiocese of Regina's Lay Formation Program first as a presenter for 8 years and now as coordinator, has given me the opportunity to share my gifts for teaching, my love for the faith and passion for the Sacred Scriptures with adults throughout the Archdiocese. I am an energetic and inspirational speaker and retreat leader. I will be completing four years of formation for the Permanent Diaconate in June and hope to be Ordained on June 15, 2018. I believe that my background in theology, spiritual direction, and pastoral care serves me well in all areas of ministry. I am a lateral thinker who is able to combine a wide,'big picture' POV with an appreciation for immediate needs in a way that is both flexible and proactively responsive.
