Highly experienced Facilities/Maintenance Manager with expertise in building maintenance repairs and daily operations. Performing in-depth preventative maintenance tasks and scheduling/managing trades (Mechanical HVAC-R; Plumbing; Electrical; Janitorial; etc.…) Currently hold the designation with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) of Facility Management Professional (FMP) and Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP). I have a proven ability to effectively manage daily building operating and capital projects while identifying cost / waste cutting initiatives ie: Fostering collaborative relationships with all trades, implementing energy efficiency initiatives to lower operational spending, and identifying and executing concepts to reduce waste leaving the building. I have been in the Facility Maintenance and Services industry for over 20 years. In that time I have been a custodian, a shop supervisor, a building maintenance employee, a Facilities Technician. Currently, under my Volunteer Roles I manage and take care of Camp Sheldrick a 53 acre property in Winchester Ontario a partnership property with Scouts Canada and South Nation Conservation. I manage my group of volunteers in weekly property maintenance, grass cutting, building cleaning, danger assessments as well take care of bookings using the site. Durring the week I am the Group Commitioner for the 104th Ottawa Scouts helping to make sure that all volenters are compliant, screened and back ground checked to be allowed to work with the youth.
