Proven coach, trainer, and leader with over 20 years of organizational, multinational, and cross-collaborative management experience. Skilled in facilitating adult learning and coordinating the efforts of multiple cross-functional teams to increase organizational performance and effectiveness, producing exceptional results. High-impact, 23 year military career provided extensive leadership experience aligning people, processes, and systems to increase organizational performance and effectiveness, demonstrating ability to deliver exacting solutions under pressure. In 2017, I was honored to be selected as an Executive Director/Commander of an organization with 800 people assigned to it, for a total of 24 months. While serving in this role, I concurrently served as a city manager for 8 months for a population of over 1,700 people, while I directed and managed overall force protection and security, emergency services, public utilities, risk management, and day to day life support and services. My leadership style focuses on collaboration, building trust, empowering direct reports and establishing management controls to ensure we meet or exceed all strategic goals. Calculated risks or failure are acceptable within the larger strategic framework, as it demonstrates employees are learning and growing. My experience working in multiple different cultures from Europe, East Asia, and the Middle East gives me an experience-based appreciation of diversity and inclusion. I understand the value of diversity to the continued growth of a company.
