About Eric Helsel

Growing up on a family farm in rural Pennsylvania, each day brought its own physical and mental challenges. Working daily chores and seasonal demands, I learned the value of patience, persistence, and interdependence. My father demonstrated leadership, using thoughtful planning that balances experience and creativity; delegation, training and teamwork; and delivering routine satisfaction of job completion. My love for problem-solving led me to the Engineering Science degree, a multidisciplinary honors program at Penn State. There, I found joy in building new networks, tackling complex challenges, and developing high-level technical expertise. After graduation, I started my career ladder in product design engineering. With 10 years of experience, my lattice shifted to business leadership, marketing, and manufacturing. As I look to the future, the themes of learning and teaching continue to guide my journey to the goal of successful product innovation.
