In my previous role as a Culinary Specialist at Giant/Martin’s Food Stores, I managed 27 food service and bakery departments. In addition to menu maintenance, event management and food and beverage, I was involved with all full-service hospitality establishments' day-to-day functions, including staff management, guest interactions, office administration duties, vendor communications and labor costs. I have achieved significant results by increasing sales, identifying process improvements and new technologies to streamline operations and create revenue. Simply stated, I offer an unmatched array of experiences and achievements, including: • Participated and Lead Kaizen events: using lean principles to create and implement a plan of action that reduced inventory and labor while increasing productivity and profits. • I utilized the Six Sigma tool DMAIC to determine why labor cost were running 130% in our kitchens. I conducted time studies and value stream mapping to determine where the process was ineffective and created recommendations for improvement. • Using data analytic tools like MicroStrategy, I analyzed customer and product trends. This helped in the reduction of know food shrink by up to 50%.
