I'm a sociolinguist who utilizes ethnographic and qualitative methods to examine the development of language and identity in our globalizing world, and how this can inform education. I am particularly passionate about the potential (and challenges) of technology to connect people across contexts and cultures and am currently conducting fieldwork in Uganda and China.
