About Eric Husteck

From an early age, I was passionate for the visual, performing, and applied arts. I loved drawing, and playing the trumpet throughout my grade school years as well as watching my dad build physical models and tensegrity structures for a small architecture firm in Cleveland, Ohio. In middle school, I discovered a new passion for airbrushing which drove my desire to become an illustrator. This aspiration, however, evolved into a passion of becoming a musician after I joined a local ska band and became highly involved with jazz band, marching band, and symphony throughout high school. I later discovered that I needed a career path to tie both of the visual and performing arts together, thus leading me to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering Technology at the University of Cincinnati. While at Cincinnati, I interned for Creative Shapes custom cabinetry and millwork shop, GBBN architects, and CR architecture + design. After graduation, I was hired for two years as a full-time project associate at CR architecture + design until I decided to pursue a Master of Architecture degree at Miami University. My engineering background and real-world experience has fueled my fascination with exploring nostalgia in the attempt to reconnect with the artistic side of my inner child.
