About Eric Impellizzeri

Large experience in a major international company (General Electric) first as design engineer and then as engineering manager in different leadership positions. As of today, engineering manager in charge of the fluid systems accessories team in Belfort within the global Gas Power engineering. This includes new product introduction, tendering support, customization of the product to meet customer specials, Sourcing/Manufacturing/Site support up to the commercial operation date. My added value is my ability to articulate things (organisation, process, execution follow up) in a global & changing environment, and to align results with goals by being engaged and by pushing to get things done. My experiences in management allowed me to develop this ability to structure and especially to develop a benchmarked organization- 2 heads (2 distincts teams with 2 managers operating as 1 team) to be flexible and to face business challenges (cost, cycle, product performance) while allowing our engineers to grow by enlarging their scope- Having the core competencies in house thanks by hiring 9 people while pushing out mundane activities Firmly convinced that innovation and execution excellence can go along I have been a promotor of TRIZ methodology and I have developed a collaborative approach with universities to find out new concepts to address historical issues. Involved in the development of the 9HA gas turbine (World record of efficiency in Guinness Book) I have spent 5 weeks at site in Pakistan to help to get the first fire of 2 combined cycle power plant.
