I'm a strategic CIO with nearly 20 years of experience leading enterprise technology through periods of rapid growth, digital transformation, and increasing complexity. Currently, I serve as CIO of TaxSlayer — a leading consumer and professional tax software platform trusted by millions of filers every year — where I oversee a significant IT budget and together with our Director of Information Technology, lead a team of 14 IT professionals.My work sits at the intersection of technology leadership and business outcomes. As CIO, I've led cloud and infrastructure modernization, and partnered with the Director of Data Analytics to build enterprise data governance capabilities from the ground up in Atlan, Snowflake, and other tools, developing the full technology stack that now powers our analytics organization. That data function grew significantly enough under our leadership that TaxSlayer created a dedicated Chief Analytics Officer role.At Cisco Live 2025, the TaxSlayer IT team was recognized with the AI Readiness: Infrastructure Innovator Award for our work leading AI-readiness initiatives across infrastructure and data layers. In 2024, I received the Atlan Modern Data Leader: Top Line Driver Award for our data governance work. And in 2020, I was named a GeorgiaCIO Orbie Corporate Finalist for technology innovation and strategic leadership.Earlier in my career, I spent years as a Solutions Architect and Principal Engineer — designing and deploying enterprise solutions for regulated industries including Credit Unions and Healthcare organizations. That hands-on technical foundation still informs how I lead today: I stay close to the stack, ask the right questions, and never lose sight of what we are building and why we are building it.Outside of work, I'm a former Board Member of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and am passionate about the Augusta business community. When I'm not focused on technology strategy, you'll find me and my wife cheering on the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park.
