With over 20 years of experience in Information Technology and nearly 14 years in the law enforcement community both as a LEO and civilian, my career reflects a unique amalgamation of skills and expertise. As a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, I have a foundational experience that has shaped both my personal and professional ethos. Driven by a commitment to public safety, I actively seek opportunities to make impactful contributions in various capacities. In my current role, I serve the State of Florida in a non-sworn capacity, where my focus is on supporting the information systems of a state law enforcement agency. My responsibilities are multifaceted, encompassing the conduct of criminal background history reviews, ensuring compliance with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) standards, and actively participating in our Unmanned Aerial Systems Team. This role allows me to blend my technical skills with my dedication to law enforcement. Previously, I was a Systems Engineer at O.C.E.A.N.S. LLC from 2015 to 2018. In this capacity, I specialized in systems crucial to contracts with the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. My expertise in this area was instrumental in advancing the firm's objectives and successes. My professional journey commenced with my enlistment in the United States Air Force, culminating in 2015. Initially focused on Law Enforcement and Security operations, I progressively expanded my role to include responsibilities in law enforcement information systems. Utilizing my IT acumen, I contributed to various systems, including wide area detection, alarm systems, and electronic surveillance. Notably, I was pivotal in designing and constructing one of the first mobile data computer systems for Security Forces personnel, thereby elevating our operational capabilities to align with those of civilian agencies. Before my military service, I was deeply entrenched in the IT industry. Starting with desktop support, I progressively advanced into roles emphasizing network infrastructure and server management. With a career that began in the late '90s, my experience spans a wide array of systems, from legacy platforms to the most current technological innovations.
