On that warm summer evening, I put my large duffel bag with all of my belongings in the car, and my Mom asked me where I wanted to be dropped off. having recently graduated from high school, I told her to take me there. She drove me to the high school and parked out front. I grabbed my duffel bag, walked it over, placed it on the high school bench, and watched her drive away. I was homeless for the next 6 months.
