About Eric Komatsu

As a software engineer at Spearmint, I contribute to an open source developer tool that enables efficient and precise testing for various JavaScript frameworks, such as React, Redux, Svelte, Solid, Vue, and GraphQL. I introduced Solid.js testing functionality, built a cross-platform native app using Electron, and used Jest, Super Test, and React Testing Library to conduct unit tests on functional components. Prior to joining Spearmint, I led the research, architecture, and development of V2 of Choose Ketamine’s full-stack telehealth web application, resulting in a faster and more streamlined user experience. I managed a team of software engineers and UI/UX designers, spearheaded cross-functional communication and collaboration, and orchestrated sprint planning sessions with a focus on improving the quality of development cycles. I also have experience in building open source web applications for interview tracking and outdoor adventure planning, using technologies such as Express, NoSQL, Reach Router, and React Context. I hold a bachelor's degree in Biology from Brown University, where I developed a strong foundation in scientific thinking and problem-solving. I am passionate about creating innovative and user-friendly solutions that leverage the power of web technologies and testing tools. I am always eager to learn new skills, collaborate with diverse teams, and contribute to impactful projects.
