About Eric Kruger

With over a decade of experience in facilities management and operations, I am currently the Vice President of Facilities Development and Operations at UConn Health, where I oversee the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of all facilities and infrastructure. I am also responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards, as well as managing the budget, contracts, and staff of the facilities department. I have a Lean Six Sigma certification and a proven track record of implementing process improvements, cost savings, and quality enhancements in complex and dynamic environments. Prior to joining UConn Health, I was the Executive Director of Facilities Operations and Building Services at the University of Connecticut, where I led the delivery of high-quality and efficient services for over 10 million square feet of campus buildings and grounds. I also have experience in the utility sector, having worked as a Manager of Electric Field Operations at Connecticut Light & Power. I am passionate about creating and maintaining sustainable, functional, and attractive facilities that support the mission and vision of UConn Health and the communities we serve. I am also committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence among my team and our partners. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table, and I am always eager to learn and grow as a leader and a professional.
