About Eric Kung

Eric Kung is currently a Senior Director in Everest Clinical Research with business transformation responsibilities to transform internal business processes, operating model and structure in order to support rapid growth of the business. Prior to joining Everest, he was a Senior Director in Business Analytics for CIBC (TSX/NYSE: CM) Retail Banking business in Toronto, leading several analytics and data teams primarily responsible for marketing and sales analytics for the bank. Previously, he was the Asia Regional Head of Operations at MetLife Investments (NYSE: MET), leading a team in Hong Kong to conduct trade operations, derivatives operations and collateral operations activities for investments across Asia. He is responsible for defining and establishing regional capabilities and functions for MetLife's developing 3rd party investment business in Asia. He also led the initiative to outsource part of the day-to-day operations to an external service provider successfully and restructured the internal operations team to re-focus on business expansion and automation. Before the regional leadership role in Operations, he was the Director for Transformation Management in Asia Region at MetLife Investments, responsible for planning, developing and execution of the regional strategy with the Investment Global Head Office and the Regional CIO, and management of large scale transformation regional projects to build investment business capabilities and operating model, and simplify and standardize investment practices across the region. Before joining MetLife, he was an IT Strategy Manager at Accenture (NYSE: ACN) Canada and Hong Kong for 6 years specializing in strategic planning, business process re-engineering, operating model transformation and financials analysis, particularly for Financial Services. As part of Accenture's Strategy Consulting practice, he helped Accenture's Financial Services clients build and align their plans, strategies, processes, roles and organizations. Prior to Accenture, he served in business analysis and technology functions in RSA Canada. Eric holds a MBA degree from University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science degree from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Computer Science from University of Waterloo. Overall, Eric has almost 20 years of Strategy, Transformation, Operations and Management experience across North America and Asia, primarily with Financial Services Industry, including Investment Management, Retail Banking and Insurance.
