About Eric Kurstjens

During my already long career in the automotive industry I gained a broad experience in various disciplines throughout the automotive industry. It started with a study as car mechanic, I worked in the warehouse of a workshop, have been a service advisor, switched to warranty specialist, made a move to be automotive consultant, have been a district manager aftersales for several years up to an aftersales manager position. These different positions also gave me the opportunity to gain experience in different fields of automotive. From a brand dealer through a consultancy firm, where I could show off my knowledge and gain experience at the same time for a global car manufacturer. To an importer/NSC and ended up at a brand dealer again before starting as a product owner in an automotive software company. I now make this experience to use in creating the best possible garage/workshop management software (GMS). Having the knowledge of all departments through obtaining actual experience gives a huge advantage in creating a workflow optimized GMS. No unnecessary options, info or buttons when not applicable, and as little as possible clicks to fulfil the process. My idea of software is that it should simplify your work. Automation means: what can be done automatically, should not be done by hand.
