Innovative R&D Executive | Spinal Device Pioneer | 100+ Patents I am a technical business leader with over 30 years of experience spearheading product innovation, regulatory strategy, and clinical development in the medical device industry. Throughout my career, I have led multidisciplinary global teams in the successful development and launch of 29 products – many of which broke new ground in spinal implant, arthroplasty, and minimally invasive systems. My expertise spans end-to-end product development; FDA 510(k), IDE, and PMA pathways; EU MDR compliance; and M&A due diligence. I have overseen the regulatory approval of multiple first-in-kind technologies, including the first IDE approval of a polycrystalline diamond cervical disc; successfully authored an FDA Breakthrough Device Designation application; and presented at an FDA advisory panel meeting. I am also a named inventor on more than 100 issued U.S. patents and have served as a strategic advisor and expert witness in the spine and orthopaedic sectors.
