About Eric Lewandowski

During my tenure at Philadelphia Insurance, I assisted in the development and supervision of risk management trainees. I also had the opportunity to analyze and support risk control programs for daycares, healthcare agencies, mental health organizations, charter schools, universities, and a variety of general businesses. My responsibilities included the implementation of safety policies, reduction of property and general liability exposures, completion of life/ safety inspections, and issuing recommendations with a goal to minimize or eliminate observed hazards. Prior to my current position, I worked as a Director of Risk Management for a commercial insurance company. I was responsible for working with a variety of clients to improve their overall risk profile, as well oversee claims handling processes by our third-party administrators. I was also responsible for overseeing how our third party consultants engaged with our external customers; which included the review of physical inspections of insured operations for life/safety exposures, reviewing indemnification contracts, and training of staff on property & casualty exposures. I also led projects in the development of our risk management resources and customer-facing web portal. Building and maintaining relationships with executive leaders, broker partners, and vendors were critical in developing this risk management department into a revenue-making function of my company. I decided to make a career change and joined Envestnet’s Information Security team in July of 2021, shortly after graduating from La Salle University with my Masters of Science degree in Cybersecurity. I currently lead our Client Assurance team which supports clients with governance, risk, and compliance queries and is responsible for ensuring that client demands are handled efficiently. My team partners with our clients and internal stakeholders in the completion of security audits which helps our client understand how our security program meets and/or exceeds regulatory standards, as well as industry best practices. I have worked as the project lead for the Information Security team’s implementation of Atlassian’s Jira Ticketing software; including the creation, deployment, and evolution of applicable processes. In 2022, I led the effort to develop, organize, and execute new hire training for the Information Security department. Most recently I have been involved in examining existing assurance processes to meet the complex needs of our highly regulated financial clients.
