About Eric Lonergan

I have worked in many roles in the logistics and security industries. In logistics I have driven nationwide with trucks and vans, from residential to commercial properties, run a depot for a courier company leading a team of 18 drivers and worked as an operative in a warehouse racking and picking as required. My roles in the security industry have been store detective, uniformed static, response and patrol driver, supervisor,door, event security and close protection. Having had occupational first aid training this proved vital at various events around the country as well as on the road at RTC's. A team is only as strong as its weakest member. Build a good team and any business can flourish. Nurture inexperienced members and they will become strong assets, assets which cannot be bought. Every person in a company has an important role play in the success of the company, from the person sweeping the floor up to the CEO. The cleaner stops rubbish from jamming machinery therefore reducing down time to clear the blockages. No job is too small or insignificant. It all builds experience and a good foundation for future leaders if they have the drive to succeed in business I have started my working life stacking shelves, worked my way through several industries gain experience and I now lead a team of 18 drivers covering the north and east Cork areas. Flexibility in any role is a must. Do not limit yourself to a single role as you limit your experience. If your a manager, pick up a brush if the rest of your team are under pressure. You'll be amazed at what you might see and your team will see you as a leader and not simply a boss.
