About Eric Manherz

I’m Eric Manherz – As an Ottawa Realtor currently with EXP Realty, it has been a great pleasure and honour to assist so many wonderful people get what they want! If you’re dreaming of a new home or looking to sell yours we’ll be delighted to do the same for you. I was born just outside of Montreal, moved to Ontario in primary school years and finished high school in Niagara Falls. I came to Ottawa in 1974 to get a degree from Carleton University and never left. Got two fun jobs not in my field right out of university, one on a local comedy show and one as a waiter at the Marble Works restaurant which I thoroughly enjoyed, then spent many years working in high tech before making the jump to Real Estate, and haven’t looked back. My partner Steve Langlois and I have been together since 1979. Steve also worked in high tech field for years and in our spare time we liked to buy places and renovate them. With our high tech background, we also ended up developing real estate web software for realtors. Because I’ve always had lots of interest in Architecture and the Real Estate field, I decided to get my real estate license in 2005 and was fortunate enough to join a wonderful Ottawa Real Estate firm right out of the gate. We’ve been working together ever since and loving it. Our tech knowledge has proven very useful for creating and managing our own websites to ensure that the properties we sell for clients appear prominently in the search engines. I also continue to manage several other websites for friends and non-profits as a hobby, including a website I created years ago when my senior mother moved to town – My work as a realtor has been very rewarding and fun, and in addition to being awarded the Royal LePage Lifetime Award of Excellence, this year (2021), I also received the Royal LePage Red Diamond Award, for ranking in the top 2% of Royal Lepage realtors across Canada.
