About Eric Maurer

Solving problems, and helping others solve problems, is what makes me tick. I have been described as analytical, precise, and systematic, while staying accommodating, tactful, and patient — characteristics of which I am proud and feel make me a natural problem solver. I pride myself in being dependable and resourceful. I have also always loved learning and experimenting with technology. In fact, my transition to IT as a career was, in part, by accident, through exposure to computers and an interest in computing capabilities during my time serving in the US Army and Army Reserves. Since the Army, the majority of my career has been focused on database technologies, having worked in database security, architecture, design and administration. Currently, I have branched off into leading projects, engineering teams and technical staff in a project execution capacity. Beyond providing technical leadership, managing\leading projects, and serving as a subject matter expert in database architecture, I am a coach and mentor. I have also added cloud technology certification and experience to my more recent accomplishments. While my discipline and leaderships skills are rooted in my Army training and experiences, my IT experience in manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, pharmaceutical, public sector and retail have helped me grow as a leader. In my personal life, I have a passion for advocating for veterans within my community. I volunteer my time providing guidance for veteran assistance available through the Madison County Veterans Assistance Commission. I help veterans understand their benefits available through the American Legion and promote activities for veterans within my community.
