Founder and President of The Science of Hearing, a Banner Group for independent hearing clinics. We provide strategic solutions in marketing, accounting, office management and human resources. We are known for delivering a local experience, which is integrated into our national strategy. We are represented in 3 provinces. Co-Owner of 2 independent hearing clinics (previous owner of 2 others). Based on previous experience working in clinics and as regional sales manager for one of the leading hearing aid suppliers, I opened my first clinic in 2005. Over the last 10 years I’ve expanded across the country with presence in Ontario, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Founder of The Harmony Hearing Group, launched as a competitive response to the growing number of large supplier owned clinics. Harmony Hearing gave local clinics a way to work together as a larger group thus giving them access to bulk pricing options. By 2005 Harmony Hearing had become the largest buying group for independent Audiologists in Canada. In 2007 the company partnered with Lobe Santé Auditive of Quebec and changed its name to the Lobe Audiology Network. The combination of the 2 companies catapulted the group into the top 5 largest hearing networks in Canada. Lobe Audiology Network was later sold to the Lifestyle Hearing Corporation and is now a supplier owned hearing. Currently Chair of Perry Medico, a medical charity that brings thousands of dollars of Canadian medicine to the Dominican Republic and hires local doctors and nurses to work with the poor. This includes local Dominicans and displaced Haitians. Perry Medico also oversees a “Mom and Baby Program” which focuses on education and services for poor mothers and an “Audiology Program” that attracts Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Dispensers from across Canada to test hearing and fit free hearing aids.
