About Eric Miller

Eric is the founder and owner of Smart Performance Strategies (SPS), Inc. based in Cary, NC. He works with senior executives and their emerging leaders in helping move themselves forward to reach their defined summit(s). SPS uses web-based assessments (Profiles XT), a Road Map and the Emerging Leader program to support our clients’ objectives in identifying and retaining the right people, and developing future leaders to meet their business goals. SPS guides companies in many industries including Healthcare, Services/Consulting, IT services, Marketing/Advertising, Architecture, Engineering, Higher Education, Publications, Finance, Legal, International Food Distribution, Accounting, Insurance, Fuel Management, Banking, Micro Brewery, Technology, Higher Education, Pharmacy Clinic, Banking, Construction and Non-Profits. Eric also had a 22-year military career, where he served in both command and senior staff assignments in Europe, Asia and the United States, and commanded, lead or managed organizations in size from 40 to personnel. He was graduated from the U.S. Army Airborne and Ranger schools. Eric then spent four years in sales and served as CEO for two Baltimore nonprofit organizations. He holds a Masters Degree in Education Management from Loyola College, Maryland, is a graduate of the United States Army’s Command and General Staff College, for leadership and management and an Eagle Scout. His off-duty interests are rock climbing and backpacking.
