About Eric Negomir

In both professional and personal pursuits, I strive for positive change in myself and my communities. As an Economics/Political Science student at WWU, I served as President of the nationally competitive WWU Waterski Team for two years. I led the team from the brink of collapse to a fully revitalized grassroots organization with over 30 members, who I continue to serve as a coach and mentor. While interning at the Washington State Senate, I learned firsthand how effective advocacy can improve our communities. As Campaign Manager for Whatcom County District Court candidate Gordon Jenkins, I developed expertise and passion for strategic communications and relationships. My current role as Government Relations Manager for the Washington Health Care Association is deeply fulfilling; it allows me to use the skills I've honed through years of personal advocacy to promote sustainable solutions for the urgent issues facing the long-term care sector, and to empower our member long-term care providers to do the same. My athletic background includes placing highly in both internationally competitive alpine ski racing and nationally competitive three-event waterskiing, in addition to participation in a variety of more traditional team sports. I am a passionate and intrinsically driven individual with a proven track record of producing beneficial outcomes for my communities and organizations.
