About Eric Nemukula

As an experienced Employee Relations Manager at the University of Venda with a reputation for diligence, organisation and dedication, I believe I can contribute a tremendous amount in ensuring efficient and effective employee relations leadership within big institutions. I am a holder of the following academic credentials- • LLM Labour Law (University of Pretoria) • LLB Degree (University of Venda) • Admission as an Advocate of the High Court • Certificate in Higher Education Management ( University of Venda) • Certificate in Preparation for and Representation of Parties at CCMA Arbitration Hearings • Certificate in Forensic Investigations and Evidence Handling • Certificate in Project Management I have just over ten years’ experience in Employee Relations environment, including a period of almost two years of my services as Employee Relations Manager at the University of Venda. I previously served in a number of institutions viz. Fetakgomo Municipality as Manager Legal Services, Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport as Deputy Manager Employee Relations, Limpopo Department of Local Government and Housing as Deputy Manager Legal Services, Limpopo Department of Health and Social Development as Senior Employee Relations Officer. I also served as Legal and Employee Relations Officer for the Department of Correctional Services, although I was initially employed as a Correctional Officer in 1996. As part of my experience package in Employee Relations, I have been involved in providing strategic advice and guidance on labour relations matters, management of grievances, misconduct and poor work performance, including representation of various institutions at dispute resolution structures such as CCMA and Labour Court. I am engaged in collective bargaining process as well as provisions of guidance on the development and review of human resources policies, although I also had an opportunity of serving under legal services environment.
